Run a Marathon...check.

I did it! I survived my first marathon and if you would have asked me yesterday to run a marathon again one day, I would have told you no way.

...but, today's a new day and I would love to be crazy and run 26.2 again!!!  I think...

Beyond the Beach...



A few weeks ago, I came across this traditional Portuguese fishing hut that was renovated for modern living by Aires Mateus and Assoc. The unique sand floor is warmed by a radiant-heat system and the kitchen island is made of white corian.  This home does seem different from the normal beach homes in that....there is sand on the floor.  It took me quite a few trips to the website to decide that yes, I can appreciate a true coastal home that is beyond the beach.

Good Morning! I hope that you are in for a great weekend!  We have another three day weekend here with school being out on Monday.  It's nice to work four days...wouldn't you agree?!  I've been searching the internet for inspiration on beach houses and I came across these lovely images.  All of which, I would do in my home.  Some of you may know me by now, I love a white backdrop and some color added and I think these coastal designed rooms have just that.  Enjoy and Happy Friday!
